1. This ‘LENNON Spaza Shop owner/operator’ promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by Pharmacare Ltd t/a Aspen Pharmacare (“Promoter”) and is open to all Spaza shop owners or operators who received LENNON trader packs from LENNON promoters in wholesale stores, who are private persons, of 18 years or older and a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa, except the employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and outlet owners and staff.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right, at its reasonable sole discretion and election, to alter, amend and/or cancel this Competition (including, but not limited to, the mechanics, value and/or prize) in its entirety. In the event of an amendment, alteration and/or cancellation, the Promoter will not compensate any individual for any reason whatsoever. These Rules and any amendments, alterations or cancellations will be at the instance of, and interpreted by, the Promoter only.
  3. Proof of South African citizenship and age will need to be provided in the form of either a valid South African identity document or driver’s license.
  4. These Competition Rules and any related notifications will be published on www.lennon.co.za/spaza-owner-operator-rules.
  5. Participation by all entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these Competition Rules.
  6. Competition period: The Competition begins on the 04th of December 2023 and ends on the 31st of July 2024.
  7. Prize/s: The Prize options consist of 1 GIZZU 1000VA 1X TYPE-M 1X USB COM UPS worth R 1800, given out each month of the competition duration (8 in total). Only 1 prize will be awarded per winner and no person may win more than once in this Competition.
  8. Entry (and cost if any): To ensure a valid entry,
  • a)  Spaza shop owners or operators will be given a LENNON product quiz sheet by the promoters, on correctly completing the LENNON product quiz sheet, the Spaza shop owner or operator will be given a LENNON trader pack by the LENNON promoters in wholesale stores.
  • b)  Spaza shop owners will need to put up the point of sale elements, and encourage their customers to take a selfie in front of the point of sale items and enter the LENNON consumer airtime competition as per the instructions on the leaflet and poster supplied as part of the LENNON consumer airtime competition.
  • c)  Each month a selfie from one of the participating Spaza shops will be randomly selected to win.
  1. Winner/s Notification: Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the daily draw via email and/or phone call. Should the prize winner not respond to phone calls or emails after three attempts at calling over three consecutive days, the Prize will be transferred to the to a randomly selected entry from another store.
  2. Draw and draw date/s: The draw will be done no later than the 5th of the next month, each month for the competition period.
  3. The Promoter’s decision, with regards to all aspects of this Competition is final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
  4. The Prize is not transferrable, exchangeable for cash or for an alternate prize.
  5. The Promoter may make media announcements / publications of the names /photographs of Winners and/or Participants however any Winner or Participant may expressly choose to decline this. Winners or Participants will not receive any payment or other remuneration and all publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Promoter.
  6. The Promoter will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or for lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit a Participant’s ability to participate in the Competition.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out audits in respect of the Winner to verify their eligibility.
  8. All Participants and Winner/s indemnify the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) and agents, against any / all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition.
  9. By entering this Competition each Participant authorizes the Promoter and the organizers of the Competition to collect, store, process and use (not share) personal information for purposes of performing this Competition, communication and/or statistical purposes. In this regard the Aspen Privacy Statement published on the Aspen website (www.aspenpharma.com) explains how Aspen collects, shares and uses personal data of data subjects in its interactions, and how a data subject may exercise her/his data privacy rights.
  10. The processing of the Personal Information will take place in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 14 of 2013(“POPIA”) and any other applicable law, and for the purpose of giving effect to the Competition. The Participant has the right to request any corrections or deletions of their Personal Information. The Participant may contact the Prompter via the details provided on the Aspen Privacy Statement published on the Aspen website (www.aspenpharma.com).
  11. By participating in this Competition each Participant agrees to receive future marketing material from the Promoter. The Participant may elect to opt out of receiving marketing material or request the Promoter to delete their information by contacting the Promoter via the details provided on the Aspen Privacy Statement published on the Aspen website (www.aspenpharma.com).
  12. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.
